Pictures... Jan. 9, 2014

We just received these from Sally and had to add them to our mission memories.  Jenny took these at Connie's home in December.  Thanks for the wonderful memories.

Mom especially likes the "Piano Memories"!

This last Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, we went to the airport with Elder Berger to welcome Neil and Lana Kunz to Tongatapu.  They are here for three weeks to run the Dental Clinic at Liahona.  Dental service is free for "anyone" needing the service and patients start lining up at the clinic early each morning.  Elder Berger grew up by Neil in Victor, so they got an unexpected Idaho welcome!  It has been fun to catch up on things from "home".

Elder King and Elder Riddle went along for the ride, because they were tired of convalescing at the mission office.  They are the two missionaries who were involved in an accident before Christmas in Vava`u.  They were passengers in a van that broadsided a palm tree and totaled it.  They are lucky to be alive.  They flew them here and then were going to send Elder Riddle to New Zealand because of head and chest injuries, but he improved enough overnight that they kept him here in the hospital for over a week.  Unfortunately Tonga is no place for major injuries. They don't have a MRI and the X-ray only works part time.
"Home Sweet Home" for the next three weeks and a big welcome from Elder and Sister Webb from Smithfield, Utah.  They are our Humanitarian Missionaries and good friends with Buddy and Sheryl Calderwood from Hibbard.

  2. Just took the last two entries into mom and she is so thrilled with all that is going on. She said: "I live for these letters. They are so interesting!" So keep writing, it is never boring. I put all the updated in a binder finally because they were all over her room!
