Tonight the woodcarver, Richard Westover Nui, came over to visit and of course, peddle some carvings. I think business is a little slow, so we helped out and got some neighbors to buy some.
This Week we had a down pour and as you can see, it opens up lots of possibilities for the kids to play. This was the youngest group trying to mimic the older kids playing rugby.
The older group really gets with it and plays a serious game. The water just made it more fun. Their rugby ball was a "flip flop". In Tonga, you play with what you have available!
Every sporting event draws a group of spectators. This is a normal Friday night event.
It is really difficult to capture the beautiful colors in our sunsets, but I am getting a little closer. Needless to say they are spectacular!
Saturday would not be complete without a walk through the "Fair" to get American products. Elder Aland, Sister Mitchell, Sister Aland and Mom.
Every country has a "Loan Shark"!
Bishop Nui took us on a wood excursion Last Saturday. This little brush grows all over the coral by the ocean. It is called Gnignie, (nenea) and is really pretty wood.
Mom wandered all over the beach and through the green stuff.
A little out of order, but this is looking for just the right bush to cut!
This is one of the nicer MQ's in this Zone.
