16 August 2014 Whale Watching

Friday  15 August 2014
Liahona Xfactor Finals
"Sister Meyers" and Ola Vaitai, are two of the eight Judges.

The Judges are getting their serious composure as the competition begins.
Speaking of "Serious", Saturday, 16 August 2014, we joined a group of
Senior Missionary's for a day of whale watching.

Settling in for the trip

Sister Burbank, E/S Van Den Akker, E/S Holbrook, E/S Meyers, E/S Hamblin, E/S Wood
...and the fun begins.

This cow is showing off with her calf.

Her two week old calf that is over 13 feet long.

There were lots of whales every where we went, including 3 bulls following
one cow.  They were slamming each other to establish dominance.  They said
it is rare to ever get to watch this activity.

Sometimes all you catch is a picture of the tail!
I also have many pictures of nothing but the splash!

Then other times, you happen to click at the right time.
We saw so many whales that we lost track of how many there were.
Our guides said it was best trip they've had.
