March 3, 2014 Pictures!!

Now that our 2nd cyclone has passed by and we can come out without getting soaked or blown away, we spent an hour out watching the beautiful sunset that the storm created.
It doesn't matter that it is pouring down rain, everyone still travels in the back of a truck, adults and children alike.  It is their main mode of travel.
This is a common sight when it rains,  this is outside a small grocery market.  It's what you do while you wait for Mom to shop!

We attended a graduation for the Queen Salote Nursing School Friday night.  It was quite the ordeal, you will get the real version from Mom's next Blog.  Suffice to say it was long, but also interesting.  It was held during some of the worst that Cyclone Kofi was giving us.  We learned our Royal protocol and courtesies, the lady in the blue is the Kingdom of Tonga's Queen.  Her Husband is the current reining King.
This is one of the Government Public Schools.  They are pretty shabby buildings and just have benches for the kids to sit on.  I liked this one, because it was lined with their back on the outside of the building.  This one does have leveler windows.  Most are just openings.

Pres. Fehoko had to show how big of a Kava bowl he was making for someone.  This piece of wood weighs at least 300 to 400 pounds.

Brian needed to know that even Tongan fathers have tough rules for those dating their daughters.

This critter came to visit and perched on our front window screen.  Sorry, I can't identify him, so we just called him twig!

This little guy was just standing in front of the little Chinese store across the street from Liahona where we live.
